  1. Synopsis:
  2.    set max_recursions [<number>]

  4. Description:
  5.    This setting limits the number of times a function or alias can call
  6.    itself before returning or exiting.  This is a safety precaution to
  7.    prevent the client from looping infinitely.  Setting this variable to
  8.    0 (zero) effectively disables alias recursion.
